Site work for a water / sewer project in Wheeling, West Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
All bidders are required to have a West Virginia Contractor's License per Sections 21-11- 11 of the West Virginia Code and it is to be included with the bid. The project includes replacement of an existing combined sewer diversion structure, installation of 158 LF of 30-inch sanitary sewer, 136 LF of 30-inch storm sewer, installation of manholes and a storm inlet, associated surface restoration, and associated additional appurtenances. The project is located in the City of Wheeling, WV along McColloch Street. A. The intent of this work is to control the flow in the sewer to enable the successful inspection, rehabilitation or replacement of the pipe. B. Depth of flow shall not exceed that shown below for the respective pipe sizes when performing television inspection, joint testing and/or sealing. Pipe Diameter Maximum Depth of Flow 1. 6" - 10" Pipe - 25% of pipe diameter 2. 12" - 24" Pipe - 33% of pipe diameter 3. 27" & up Pipe - 40% of pipe diameter C. Flow shall be controlled or bypassed from sewer sections being lined or replaced. The methods used shall be in accordance with the work being performed.
