City Creek Treatment Plant Upgrades - Package 1 All contractors are invited to attend to obtain relevant information concerning the project. Guidelines for bidding will be explained and questions pertinent to the contract, bonds, plans and specifications will be discussed. Bid Security amount must equal 5 percent of the total amount of the Bid The right is reserved to reject any or all bids The ENGINEER's estimate for this project is over $2,000,000.00. The location of the work is: City Creek Treatment Plant, 2200 City Creek Canyon Rd, Salt Lake City, UT 84103. The work to be performed consists of furnishing and installing the equipment, facilities, services, and appurtenances indicated in the Contract Documents. The Work generally includes, but is not limited to, the following: Demolition of the existing ported baffle wall between the existing flocculation and sedimentation basins. Replacement of the demolished baffle wall with a new concrete wall containing isolation and washdown slide gates. Construction of a new north flocculation basin outlet wall with isolation slide gate, construction of a new sedimentation basin bypass concrete weir wall with isolation slide gate, and placement of concrete fill to slope the north flocculation basin outlet channel. The work also includes installation of a new 36" sedimentation basin bypass pipe, rerouting of chemical lines into the filter building, rerouting of the existing electrical ductbank to the filter building, installation of new electrical outlets on the top deck of the flocculation basins for snow melt pads, providing specified snow melt pads, replacement of flocculator bearings, replacement of select flocculator shafts, and other electrical and instrumentation modifications to provide a complete and operable system. Work also includes installation of chain link security fencing, access gates, gate operators, control panels, exit loops, and associated improvements.
