a) Lee County Board of County Commissioners seeks to contract for professional consulting services to provide an update to the 2019 water and wastewater master plans using population projections based on the 2020 US Census data, recalibrate hydraulic models, and project through 2045. In addition to expanding on wellfield planning and water resources, a new reuse water master plan is to be developed. b) Lee County Utilities (LCU) is responsible for providing safe, reliable potable water service and effectively treating wastewater throughout several areas in unincorporated Lee County. The components of these systems include raw water supply, five water treatment plants, water storage, water booster pump stations, water distribution piping, sewer collection piping, wastewater pump stations, five regional water reclamation facilities, one advanced water reclamation facility, deep injection wells, and reuse distribution piping. The LCU water service area encompasses approximately 209 square miles and has a permitted capacity of 50.9 million gallons per day (MGD) finished water. The LCU sewer service area encompasses approximately 180 square miles and has a permitted treatment capacity of 33.144 MGD.
