As of January 12, 2022, a general contractor has been selected. All trades are let. A firm start date has not been determined, however, construction is expected to start within the next month. Information below is kept for reference: Major items of work include: 2" Asphaltic Concrete 6" Chemically Mixed Roadway Material Limestone Flexible Base Saw Existing Pavement. Copies of the Bid/Contract documents may be examined without charge in the office of the Project Engineer, Kaluza, Inc., 3014 Avenue I, Rosenberg, Texas 77471. It is recommended that all biders attend the pre-bid conference; however, attendance is not mandatory. A bid bond in the the amount of 5% of the bid, issued by an acceptable surety, shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to City of Danbury or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. The City of Danbury reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. The award will be made to the responsible bidder submitting the lowest acceptable bid. Bids may be held by City of Danbury for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award Each bidder should visit the site ofthe proposed work and fully acquaint himself with the existing conditions there and should fully inform himself as to the facilities involved, the difficulties and restrictions attending the performance of the contract. The bidder should thoroughly examine and familiarize himself with the drawings, technical specifications and all other contract documents. The contractor by the execution ofthe contract shall in no way be relieved of any obligation under it due to his failure to receive or examine any form or legal document or to visit the site or acquaint himself with the conditions there existing.
