Estimated Construction Cost $210,000.00 Provide the labor and equipment to clean the 125,202 square feet of ductwork systems and air handler units located in the Gonda Neuroscience and Genetic Research Center. All work shall be performed at night. A. Contractor shall clean all HVAC components and verify the cleanliness through inspection and/or testing in accordance with items specified herein and applicable NADCA Standards. B. Contractor shall clean all supply air pathways including the supply fan unit, distribution ducting, risers, turning vanes, laterals to terminal units and diffusers; and clean all return air, exhaust air and transfer air diffusers or grills. C. Prior to any duct cleaning, Contractor shall submit digital photographs of the as-is condition of all ductwork. D. Remove visible surface contaminants and deposits from within the HVAC system in strict accordance with these specifications. E. The HVAC system shall be defined to include any interior surface of the facility's air distribution system containing internally lined ductwork as indicated in the contract documents and floor plan drawings. This includes ducts from the points where the air enters the system to the points where the air is discharged from the system. Contractor shall coat all internally lined ductwork with a biocidal growth inhibitor. F. Prior to cleaning any supply air grills and registers, Contractor shall remove aftermarket installed particular filters and dispose/recycle, remove and re-hang any air deflector sheet metal below supply air grills and registers. G. Contractor shall encapsulate all internally lined ductwork with a water based protective coating to seal all surfaces. Encapsulation shall begin immediately at the air handler, and extend 20'-0" down the ductwork unless otherwise noted by University's Representative. H. Report all missing or degraded insulation and repair or replace as approved by the University's Representative. The successful Bidder will be required to have the following California current and active contractor's license at the time of submission of the Bid: C-20 License (Warm-Air Heating, Ventilating & Air-Conditioning) Every effort will be made to ensure that all persons have equal access to contracts and other business opportunities with the University within the limits imposed by law or University policy. Each Bidder may be required to show evidence of its equal employment opportunity policy. The successful Bidder and its subcontractors will be required to follow the nondiscrimination requirements set forth in the Bidding Documents and to pay prevailing wage at the location of the work. The work described in the contract is a public work subject to section 1771 of the California Labor Code. No contractor or subcontractor, regardless of tier, may be listed on a Bid for, or engage in the performance of, any portion of this project, unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 and 1771.1. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. The successful Bidder shall pay all persons providing construction services and/or any labor on site, including any University location, no less than the UC Fair Wage (defined as $15 per hour) and shall comply with all applicable federal, state and local working condition requirements.
