General Conditions and Requirements for Bidders. 1. Apply for Building Permit 2. Provide orange safety fencing as needed to keep a safe work zone area around museum building & parking lot 3. Strip entire roof of existing SINGLE LAYER of asphalt roof shingles 4. All debris to be picked up daily and placed into dumpster provided by contractor 5. All areas around the Town hall to have any stray nails magnetically picked up on a daily basis 6. Nail all existing roof sheathing down with 8d galvanized ring shank nails 7. Any existing roof sheathing that is not structurally sound must be replaced 8. Install new 8" white non venting drip edge along all eaves and rakes on the roof 9. Install two rows (six feet) of Grace Ice and Water Shield or equivalent ice and water shield along all roof eaves 10. Install a three-foot row of Grace Ice & Water Shield or equivalent ice and water shield up all rake lines on entire roof 11. Install GAF Armor Deck on all remaining roof deck surfaces 12. Install (approximately 16 squares ) Certainteed Grandmanor with Streak Fighter roof shingles (to match Town Hall roof) shingle per manufactures specifications using the hurricane nailing method provided in those specifications) 13. Install Certainteed Grandmanor with Streak Fighter hip & Ridge caps along all ridge lines, Hurricane nailed down (two nails per side of each cap minimum) 14. Frame openings in both gable ends for new all Vinyl gable vents (Install the biggest size that will fit above existing window on front of museum, match rear gable vent size) 15. Patch in vinyl siding around new gable vents The Town of West Bridgewater soliciting quotes to replace and install a roof at the West Bridgewater Museum Building, 65 North Main Street, West Bridgewater, MA .
