Renovation of a military facility in Edenton, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
This project consists of the cleaning, demolition, and remediation of the existing indoor firing range into general storage space. This project includes lead cleaning, removal of all associated backstops, deflectors, and other associated firing range items. The existing walls shall be epoxy painted, existing deck and structure shall be painted, existing pit infilled with concrete, and the existing concrete slab shall have a resinous flooring system installed. Project also includes minimal mechanical and electrical work associated with the lead cleaning and remediation. No alterations are being made to life safety, occupant load, or path of egress. This project includes all other work as shown, indicated or reasonably implied on the drawings and/or specifications for a complete, first class job. The Contractor shall commence work to be performed under this Contract on a date to be specified in written order from the Designer/Owner and shall fully complete all work hereunder within ( 60 ) consecutive calendar days Contractor shall furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond executed by a surety company authorized to do business in North Carolina. The bonds shall be in the full contract amount. The goals for participation by minority firms as subcontractors on this project have been set at 10%. If the goal of 10% participation by HUB Certified/ minority business is not achieved, the Bidder shall provide the following documentation to the Owner of his good faith efforts:
