Renovation of a transportation facility in New Orleans, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.
The City of New Orleans (City) and New Orleans Aviation Board (NOAB) solicit bids to obtain an emergency contract for Modified Bituminous Membrane Roofing and Built-Up Asphalt Roofing at the South Terminal of the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (Airport) to mitigate further damage initially caused by Hurricane Ida. The requested services include (but are not limited to) the following: 1. The contractor to whom the contract is awarded (the Contractor) will be responsible for the gathering, loading, hauling, and disposing of the identified Modified Bituminous Membrane Roofing, flashing, gutters, coping, etc. and Built-Up Asphalt Roofing at the locations described below. Standard safety procedures shall be implemented, and qualified personnel shall be contracted, to successfully complete all tasks. All work shall be completed within 60 calendar days of issuance of Notice To Proceed (NTP). 2. All dimensions are approximate. Contractor is to verify all dimensions and estimated quantities. 3. Contractor to submit before and after pictures of the work areas. Include Latitude and Longitude coordinates on pictures of each work area. 4. Below are the locations of roof to be replaced. 5. Procurement of all necessary permits and AHJ approvals for the completion of the work 6. Coordination with tenants and owners for access and staging. 7. Disposal or recycling of all demolished building materials and building contents. Hazardous materials will be properly disposed per environmental guidelines at authorized collection centers. Primary and secondary routes should be considered when hauling and disposing of debris to and from collection centers. Contractor shall provide proof of proper disposal (Receipts, landfill tickets, etc), prior to release of final payment. 8. Access to the airside work areas shall be through Gate 167. SIDA badging and operational requirements and restrictions while working on an active airfield will be enforced. Standard safety procedures shall be implemented, and qualified personnel shall be contracted, to successfully complete all tasks. All work shall be completed within 60 calendar days of issuance of Notice To Proceed (NTP). 9. Refer to Exhibit 1 - Specifications for additional requirements
