CR17 Electrical & Security DASNY is soliciting bids for the Tunnel Washer Replacement project at the Nathan Kline Institute for Psychiatric Research at the Rockland Psychiatric Center in Orangeburg, New York Under this scope of work, the existing tunnel washer unit will be replaced. The building is operated by the New York State Office of Mental Health and houses advanced research laboratories and a vivarium. To facilitate the installation of the new modular style tunnel washer unit, new ancillary equipment must be installed. This includes the installation of two new electric high pressure steam boilers, related condensate and boiler plant equipment, a new oil-free air compressor, and new venting through the roof. The new machine will connect with existing building systems in addition to the new systems for exhaust air and hot water/plumbing. New sanitary drains will be added to the washer facility to accommodate the equipment and improve drainage. The replacement of the equipment will occur while the facility is in operation and using other washing equipment within the facility. The bidder or its principals must have completed five (5) contracts of relatively similar size, scope and complexity within the last five (5) years or demonstrated an increasing ability to successfully complete contracts of incrementally larger size and scope within the last five (5) years.
