Public notice is hereby given that in accordance with N.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.5 et seq. through a fair and open process, by the Burlington Township Burlington City CP Solid Waste Collection Program that sealed bids will be received by the Purchasing Agent, 851 Old York Road, Burlington, NJ 08016 for the collection and disposal of solid waste for the Burlington Township Burlington City CP Waste Collection Program The municipalities participating in the Burlington Township Burlington City CP Solid Waste Collection Program are the Township of Burlington (Lead Agency) and the City of Burlington. The Burlington Township Burlington City CP Solid Waste Collection Program is a registered Collective Pricing Program through the Division of Community Affairs, Department of Local Government Services of the State of New Jersey. Bidder is solely responsible for the timely delivery of the bid proposal and no bids shall be considered which are presented after the public call for receiving bids. Any Bid Proposal received after the date and time specified will be returned, unopened, to the bidder. Only one (1) individual per vendor submitting will be permitted entry to the building. Bids shall be submitted no later than 10:00 a.m. to the Purchasing Department where bid proposals will be dated and time stamped upon receipt. Bids must be delivered via mail or by appointment with the Purchasing Department by calling 609-239-5831 or by email to svail@twp.burlington.nj.us. All bids must be accompanied by a non-collusion affidavit and either a certified check, cashier check or a bid bond, issued by a surety licensed or authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey, payable to the Township of Burlington, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, but not to exceed $20,000 as well as a Consent of Surety binding the surety to furnish performance and payment bonds as required in the Instructions to Bidders, together with all documents required in the bid package. Respondents are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A 10:5-31 et seq. and P.L. 1975, c. 127 (N.J.A.C.17:27), Affirmative Action Requirements, (N.J.A.C. 52:25-24.2) Statement of Ownership, (N.J.S.A 52:32-44) New Jersey Business Registration and Disclosure of Investments in Iran (Public Law 2012, c.25). In compliance with P.L. 1977, C.33, the Bid must state whether or not any shareholders hold more than ten percent (10%) interest in the bidding corporation or partnership, and if so, must state such shareholder or partner name and addresses. No bid may be withdrawn without the consent Burlington Township Burlington City CP Solid Waste Collection Program for a period of sixty days after the time for opening of bids has passed. The award of contracts for providing the above will be made at a Regular Meeting of the Mayor and Council, who reserve the right to waive formalities and accept or reject any part or all of the submitted proposals as they may determine to be in the best interest of the Township of Burlington. The Burlington Township Burlington City CP Solid Waste Collection Program reserves the right to reject any and all bids in accordance with the Local Public Contracts Law.
