Senecal Apartments Elmer Drive, Elcon Drive Chicopee, MA 01013 The Project consists of: Replacement of aluminum siding with vinyl siding, removal of existing wood siding having lead paint, and replacement and addition of wooden entry porches with steel and wood structures. The Chicopee Housing Authority (CHA) invites sealed bids from General Contractors for the Phase 2 replacement of aluminum siding with composite and vinyl siding, removal of wood clapboards with lead paint and replacement of existing front porch enclosures at the 200-1 Senecal Apts. in Chicopee. The work is estimated to cost $788,372. DCAM certification in General Building Construction and filed sub-bid certification in Misc. and Ornamental Iron are required.Bids are subject to and to state minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L E-bid tutorials and instructions are available at portal No bids will be accepted after the stated time and date. Bid submittals must be accompanied by a bid deposit equal to 5% of the contractor's total bid including alternates payable to the Chicopee Housing Authority. Qualified minority and women owned firms are urged to respond. This project is being bid electronically through portal General bidders must agree to contract with minority and women business enterprises as certified by the Supplier Diversity Office (SDO), formerly known as SOMWBA. The combined participation benchmark reserved for such enterprises shall not be less than 13% of the final contract price including accepted alternates.
