Western New Mexico University 1360 W. Florida Street, Deming, NM 88030 1. A new 25,000 +/- s.f. education building with an overall budget of $8.5M located at 2300 E. Pine, Deming, NM 88061. The project will be phased with Phase 1 to include site and utility rough ins. Phase 2 will include (2) subphases; Phase 2A, which includes finishing out nursing suite and shelling the remainder of the building, and Phase 2B, which includes finishing out the rest of the building. Phase 3 includes the construction of a new, 2 story classroom wing, an interior renovation that includes the construction of 2 bathrooms, and the construction of a vocational training wing comprised of 2 welding shops, and a second story testing suite. 2. Sustainable/"Green" Requirements: The building(s) on the site and the sitework adjacent to the building(s) are designed and shall be constructed to a Silver Level under LEED-NC v4 program and SITES certification of USGBC/GBCI, but will not be registered.. The requirements for sustainable/"green" construction are contained throughout the Contract Documents and in particular are specified in Section 01 81 13- Sustainable Design Requirements. Project includes the construction of a new building on a vacant site. The scope of Phase 2 is divided into two concurrent construction projects. Phase 2 A includes the completed construction a 4,000sf nursing suite, and the construction of an 8,600sf unoccupied shell to be finished as part is Phase 2B. Shell space shall include weatherproof barrier, with reduced mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection. DBE Subcontractors and Suppliers are strongly encouraged to respond.
