Site work and new construction of a playground / park / athletic field in Springfield, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field.
As of September 1, 2023, this project has been completed. The closed solicitation has been included below for reference. Improvements to Blunt Park will include installation of sediment and erosion controls, demolition of existing tennis courts, playground, pavements, fencing and tree work, installation of site utilities, construction of new tennis courts, installation of owner-furnished site furnishings, playground and splash pad equipment, concrete work, and landscaping. This IFB is subject to M.G.L. Ch. 30B 5 and other state procurement statutes. MA Prevailing Wages and Federal Davis-Bacon Wages will apply to this project. The Deputy Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so. The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women (MWBE) participation in all contracts. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time
