Bids will be considered by the Owner at a public meeting to be held in the Supervisors Chambers, 301 N Buxton St at 9:30 AM, Central Time, on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 or at such later time and place as may then be fixed. The general nature of the work is as follows: 27,410 square foot, pre-engineered metal, maintenance facility for Warren County Secondary Road Department. Project includes precast concrete wall panels and planks, concrete masonry partitions, aluminum storefront, aluminum doors and frames, aluminum window, insulated overhead sectional doors, overhead coiling doors, hollow metal doors and frames, toilet partitions, service equipment, steel stairs, drywall partitions, acoustical panel ceilings, paint finishes and vinyl flooring. Also included in a complete HVAC system, electrical distribution system, lighting, and fueling station. The work must commence no later than April 18, 2022 and must be substantially completed no later than April 28, 2023. The bidder's security shall be in an amount equivalent to 5% of the bid amount, and shall be in the form of a cashier's or certified check drawn on a bank in Iowa or a bank chartered under the laws of the United States of America, or a certified bank share draft drawn on a credit union in Iowa or chartered under the laws of the United States of America or a bid bond with corporate surety satisfactory to the Owner. The bid security will be held by the Owner until a contract is fully executed and bonds are approved by the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to waive informalities or irregularities. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
