SYNOPSIS B2032 REPAIR HVAC SYSTEM MARINE CORPS BASE QUANTICO, VIRGINIA November 23, 2021 THIS NOTICE DOES NOT CONSTITUE A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL, REQUEST FOR QUOTE, OR AN INVITATION FOR BID. NO SPECIFICATIONS OR DRAWINGS ARE AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. Project Description: MCBQ B2032 Repair HVAC System, Marine Corps Base (MCB) Quantico, Virginia The Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Washington/Facilities Engineering Acquisition Division (FEAD) Quantico intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a firm fixed-price, construction contract for the repair of the HVAC system for Bldg. 2032 aboard Marine Corps Base (MCB), Quantico, VA. The anticipated requirement will be issued under RFP Number N4008022R1007. The RFP is expected to be posted to the System for Award Management (SAM) website located at https://sam.gov/ by 10 December 2021. This procurement expects to utilize Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) source selection procedures in accordance with (IAW) FAR Part 15.101-2. The Government intends to award one (1) firm fixed-price contract. IAW FAR 36.203(f) disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects, the construction magnitude of this project is estimated between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 238220 - Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors, with the annual size standard of $16.5M. This project work includes but is not limited to the following: to replace the existing HVAC systems for Bldg. 2032. The existing HVAC systems to be replaced in-kind, two (2) Trane heat pump split systems, one (1) Trane self -contained packaged roof top unit with hot water heating coil, one (1) Carrier DX system with hot water heating coil, one (1) Trane DX system, and one (1) Liebert CRU system. The work includes demolition of the existing units and replacing with new, demolition of five (5) air handling units, packaged roof top units (RTU) and the corresponding condensing units. The project scope includes, selective flex and hard ductwork installation, supply diffusers, return grilles to accommodate areas that lack proper air flow, concrete slab and wall penetrations for HVAC components as well as what is indicated in the Scope of Work. The Government intends to post all notices/amendments related to the solicitation on https://.sam.gov/. All interested firms must be registered in SAM in order to obtain the solicitation documents and all information regarding the solicitation. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be provided. It is the responsibility of the Offeror to check the website daily for any updates/amendments.
