Renovation of a recreation facility in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Working plans call for the renovation of a recreation facility.
As of September 29, 2022, bids were canceled. No definite date for the rebid. Provide required modifications to many exhibits plus additional life support to support the Virginia Aquariums animal collection for long term health and wellbeing. All work will be conducted at the newly renovated south building. All work requires specific knowledge of life history and environments for animal collection which will require in depth discussion with Virginia Aquarium staff to provide the best modifications available. There will be no Pre-Bid Conference All prospective bidders/respondents are hereby cautioned not to contact any member of the city of virginia beach staff or officials other than the specified contact person. The city of virginia beach reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids/proposals in whole or in part and to wave any informalities in the bid/proposal process and reserves the right to enter into any contract deemed to be in the best interest of the city. The specifications in this bid/proposal are intended as a quality indicator and guide for your bidding/response and unless otherwise stated, the city will consider alternate bids/proposals of equal or better quality, which shall be accompanied by descriptive literature. The entire contents of this invitation to bid/request for proposal, any addenda, and bidder's/proposer's response shall be incorporated into any resulting contract.
