Completed plans call for the addition of a 6,387-square-foot, two-story above grade military facility; for the demolition of a military facility; for the renovation of a military facility; and for site work for a military facility.

The project is generally described as a new two (2) story, 6,387 square foot addition to the existing facility; including the first floor storage area, connector corridor, and the second floor classroom space. The addition shall be brick veneer on concrete masonry supporting walls with steel interior columns, metal joists, concrete slab-on grade at first floor, and concrete slab on metal deck at second floor. Associated renovations of the existing facility to support the addition, including renovated and upgraded toilet facilities, are included. A Bid Bond is required. No other forms of security, including certified checks, will be accepted. A Commonwealth of Virginia Standard Performance Bond (DGS-30-084, form CO-10) and a Commonwealth of Virginia Standard Labor and Material Payment Bond (DGS-30-088, form CO-10.1) WILL be required regardless of the bid amount. Procedures for submitting a bid, claiming an error, withdrawal of bids and other pertinent information are contained in the Instructions to Bidders, which is part of the Invitation for Bids. Withdrawal due to error in bid shall be permitted in accord with Section 9 of the Instructions to Bidders and 2.2-4330, Code of Virginia. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Bid envelopes must be Hand Delivered to the Bid Officer and marked on the exterior. Bids not received by the bid officer prior to deadline Shall be considered non-responsive and marked as late. This will be the only time available for prospective bidders to view the project site. Subcontractors, suppliers, and other interested parties are encouraged to attend the pre-bid conference.
