Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check, or cashier s check in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the total bid. Bidders for this project are required to hold a current Certificate of Prequalification issued by the Volusia County School Board at the time of bid opening. All bids shall be binding for a period of 60 calendar days from the date of bid opening or until School Board approval of the bid, whichever occurs first. The bid amount of the successful bidder, once approved by the School Board, shall not be subject to change or withdrawal. All bids shall be subject to the provisions of the Solicitation, as defined in FAC Document 631, Instructions to Bidders. It is the sole responsibility of all bidders to fully comply with the provisions of the Solicitation during this bidding process. Replace campus fire alarm system and provide new fiber backbone for the fire alarm system. 2. Provide temporary connections to maintain the new and existing systems simultaneously so the replacement can be accomplished while the school is operational. 3. Maintain the existing Fire Alarm system while the new system is installed and remove at the completion of the work installing the new fire alarm system. 4. Provide new surge protection for any circuits exiting/entering the building and for 120V power to the panel. 5. This scope is not all inclusive and is complimented by the set of drawings and specifications.
