Renovation of a medical facility in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
The project entails the replacement of an existing 630A fixed mounted minimum oil 5kV circuit breaker serving Generator #3. A slight oil leak, and general obsolescence are the reasons for the replacement. The new breaker will be a 5kV 600A draw-out circuit breaker which will be retrofitted into the existing Gen #3 cell. The new breaker will be wired into the existing protection and control circuits. The control voltage for the generator switchgear line-up is 48V dc, and the breaker charging voltage is 120V. The work shall include but not be limited to: Engineered drawings for the installation of the new cassette and breaker, including detailed drawings showing bus and cell modifications, schematics and wiring drawings Outage and safety plans Disconnect and removal of existing breaker, associated bus and CT's Installation of new cassette and breaker Refurbishment Construction of new isolation barriers, structure modifications and safety interlocks Wiring, testing and commissioning of the breaker including secondary current injection on the protection relays Re-certification of the switchgear Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com or the Winnipeg Construction Association.
