PN - 22013A The work shall consist of the installing equipment such as a line heater, odorizer, prefabricated assemblies for a regulator station and meter set, installing approximately 200' of underground pipeline, providing concrete pads, and providing a metal building. It is anticipated that the Contract will be awarded in late January 2022. Equipment to be installed has been ordered and the "Notice to Proceed" with construction is anticipated to be issued for May 2, 2022. Proposals must be submitted on standard forms provided in the Specification booklet and must be marked "Proposal for City Gate Station #2". Contract Documents, in good condition, within thirty (30) days after the bid opening date to each bidder who submits a formal proposal to the City. One-half (1/2) the amount of the deposit for all sets of complete documents, including Plans and Specifications, returned in good condition within fifteen (15) days after the opening of bids will be refunded to all prospective bidders who do not submit a formal proposal. Each proposal must be accompanied by a deposit equal to five (5%) percent of the net price bid. This deposit may consist of cash, or a certified check drawn on a bank or trust company authorized to do business in the State of North Carolina or on a bank insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, payable to the City of Kings Mountain, North Carolina, or a five (5%) percent Bid Bond issued by any insurance company authorized to do business in the State of North Carolina. The deposit is to be retained in the event of failure of the Successful Bidder to execute the contract within (10) days after the award or to give satisfactory surety as required. All contractors are hereby notified that they shall properly comply with any North Carolina state laws governing their respective trades. The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals.
