In general, the project includes supplying 26,000 meter interface units, wire splice kits, through lid adapters, mobile radios, and a mobile data collection system. It also includes AMR system hardware, software, setup, & billing system integration. Proposals shall be accompanied by a bid bond or a cashier's check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid price or $10,000 payable without recourse to the Madison Utilities. Check or bid bond shall be provided as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract within fourteen (14) days after Notice of Award. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities in the bids and bidding deemed to be in the best interests of the Owner, and to reject non-conforming, non-responsive, or conditional bids. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty days from the date set for receiving the bids.
