The Geneva Park District is seeking sealed bids for the Island Park Drainage Improvements project located south of IL Route 38 (W State Street) in Geneva, Illinois. The Island Park Drainage Improvements project includes drainage structure and asphalt path removal, earth excavation, storm sewer and drainage structure placement, asphalt path patching, fine grading, and restoration. Work is anticipated to start in April 2022 and be completed by the May 15th, 2022. All bids must be submitted on the proposal forms included in the bid documents and accompanied by cash, a certified bank draft, or a bid bond from an accredited surety company - payable to: Geneva Park District for an amount equal to 10% of the bid submitted. All contracts for work herein are subject to the provisions of all Geneva Park District regulations. To the extent that the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act applies, Contractor must pay and require all subcontractors to pay the prevailing rate of wages to all related laborers, workers, and mechanics involved in the project as established by the Illinois Department of Labor for each craft or type of work needed to execute the contract in accordance with 820 ILCS 130/.01 et seq. The Geneva Park District reserves the right to reject any or all bid proposals or to accept any bid proposal, which in its judgment, will be in the best interest of the public or to waive any informalities in bidding. The Geneva Park District encourages small and minority businesses and women's business firms to submit bids on the approved project and successful contract bidders to utilize small and minority businesses and women's businesses as subcontractors for supplies, equipment, services, and construction.
