Rehabilitate the existing electrical feeders currently serving the terminal parking lot lighting. The parking lot feeders distribute power to the parking lot lights through a series of manholes. The intent of this project is for a contractor to inspect and test all of the lighting feeders. The testing of the feeders is to occur in one section segments, one splice point to the next. Once all feeders are properly tested and reported to the Engineer of Record (EOR), the contractor will re-splice the feeders and add updated ID tags. The splice connections will be heat shrink style connections. Contractor will be responsible for developing a testing procedure to submit to EOR that will include all traffic control measures and testing equipment. In addition, any sections that fail the testing shall be pulled out, replaced, and tested. Any feeders that fail the testing are to be replaced from junction point to junction point. Contractor is to provide a unit price to perform replacement of failed feeders, with the unit price work capped at 5,000LF. Bidders shall submit a certified check or bid bond, payable to the City of Pensacola in the amount of five thousand dollars ($5000) for a period of sixty (60) days.
