The work involves a reverse rotary pilot hole to collect deep water samples, electronic logging and a new well to the depth of 1,400ft. The well will consist of approximately 500lf of blank casing with approximately 680lf of perforated casing below. Zone isolation sampling and test will be required for the final design of the well. Engineers Estimate: $400k to $450k. Each bid shall be submitted on a form furnished as part of the Contract Documents and must be accompanied by cash, a cashier's check, a certified check, or a bidder's bond executed by an admitted surety insurer, or substitute pursuant to Section 995.710 of the Code of Civil Procedure, in an amount not less than 10% of the amount of the bid, made payable to the order of or for the benefit of the City. The Contractor's license classification(s) required for this project are as follows: General Contractor: Class A and C57. These classifications are provided for information purposes only. The Engineer does not warrant that all classifications required for the project are listed. Contractors must register and meet the requirements utilizing the online application, Department of Industrial Relations Public Works Contractor Registration Affidavit, before bidding on public works projects. The City Council of the City reserves the right to select the schedule(s) under which the bids are to be compared and contract(s) awarded, to reject any and all bids, and to waive any and all irregularities in any bid. The project, if awarded, will be based upon all work contemplated in the Base Bid. After selection by the City, alternate bid items may be added to the Base Bid. The City reserves the right to perform any combination of work detailed in the base bid plus alternate bids based on available funds.
