Demolition and site work for a municipal facility in Shenandoah, Iowa. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
The City of Shenandoah, Iowa hereby requests sealed bids for building demolition services for the removal and clean-up of structures located at 316 N. Broad St., 108 N. Center St., 300 N. Sycamore and 112 E. Thomas Ave. [within Shenandoah City limits].Sealed bids for the demolition, removal and disposal of debris to the Page County Landfill at the contractor's expense and returning the property to a mow-able condition. The City of Shenandoah, Iowa reserves the right to refuse any and all bids. It is anticipated a contract for services will be approved by the City Council at the January 11, 2022 Regular meeting. The demolition must be completed within 120 days of awarded contract. Should the contractor fail to complete the work in this timeframe, liquidated damages of $100.00 per calendar day will be assessed for work not completed within the designated contract term.
