Site work and paving for a road / highway in Modesto, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

The engineer's estimate is $30,000.00 The project consists of the construction of an Emergency Exit Road for the Modesto Junior College West Campus. To bid on this Project, the Bidder is required to possess at a minimum the following State of California Contractor License and Certification: A California Class A, B and/or C-12 contractor's license is required to Bid this contract. The Bidder's license(s) must remain active and in good standing throughout the term of the Contract. A bid bond by an admitted California surety insurer on the form provided by the District in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price, shall accompany the Bid Form and Proposal, as a guarantee that the Bidder will, within seven (7) days after the date of the Notice of Award, enter into a contract with the District for the performance of the services as stipulated in the bid. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond if it is awarded the contract for the Work. The successful Bidder may substitute securities for any monies withheld by the District to ensure performance under the Contract, in accordance with the provisions of section 22300 of the Public Contract Code. The Contractor and all Subcontractors under the Contractor shall pay all workers on all work performed pursuant to this Contract not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and the general prevailing rate for holiday and overtime work as determined by the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations, State of California, for the type of work performed and the locality in which the work is to be performed within the boundaries of the District, pursuant to sections 1770 et seq. of the California Labor Code. Prevailing wage rates are also available from the District or on the Internet at: portal. If this Project is funded in whole or in part with State bond funds, the District and/or its designee will be operating a labor compliance program on this Project pursuant to Labor Code section 1771.7. Due to the current COVID19 pandemic, the District is requesting that contractors provide, at a minimum, masks for employees and subcontractors, and adhere to the C D C guidelines of social distancing while working on the college campuses. Wearing of masks and social distancing are required components for working on any Yosemite Community College District property. Contractors shall incorporate all such requirements in their safety plan for the project. This Project is subject to labor compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1771.4 and subject to the requirements of Title 8 of the California Code of Regulations. The Contractor and all Subcontractors under the Contractor shall furnish electronic certified payroll records directly to the Labor Commissioner weekly or within (10) days of any request by the District or the Labor Commissioner. The successful bidder shall comply with all requirements of Division 2, Part 7, Chapter 1, of the Labor Code. Pursuant to SB 854, no contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid for a public works project (submitted on or after March 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) and no contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for a public works project (awarded on or before April 1, 2015) unless registered with the DIR per California Labor Code section 1725.5. All participants are required to sign in. All participants shall meet at Modesto Junior College West Campus, Parking Lot 203 (adjacent to the Soccer and Softball Field.) The pre-bid conference is expected to take approximately one hour. This conference is strongly recommended for all bidders but is not mandatory. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed in writing to the District. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by the District in response to such questions will be issued in writing by Addenda faxed, mailed, or delivered to all parties recorded by the District as having received the Contract Documents. Questions received less than SEVEN (7) days prior to the date for opening Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by formal written Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. Time for Completion: District may issue a Notice to Proceed within THREE (3) months from the date of the Contractor's Notice of Award. Once Contractor has received the Notice to Proceed, Contractor shall complete the Work within the period of time indicated in the Contract Documents. The Bidder to whom Contract is awarded shall execute and submit the following documents by 5:00 p.m. of the TENTH (10 TH) day following the date of the Contractor's Notice of Award. Failure to properly and timely submit these documents entitles District to reject the bid as non-responsive.
