Site work for a water / sewer project in Sharon, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The scope of work includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals necessary to install approximately 6,000 water meters with high resolution electronic encoder registers and AMR modules, ranging in size from 5/8-inch to 6-inch. The water meters, registers and AMR Modules will be purchased by the Owner through a separate contract. Installation shall include removing the existing meters, registers, AMR modules and wiring, and furnishing all incidentals required to complete installations. The scope of work also includes ensuring there is adequate electrical grounding on both sides of the newly installed water meters and grounding the new water meter in accordance with Massachusetts Electrical Code if it is required. All inquiries regarding the contract documents should be in writing (typed, not handwritten) addressed to Weston & Sampson Engineers, Inc., 55 Walkers Brook Drive, Reading, Massachusetts 01867 Attention: CSD, or sent via email to davida@wseinc.com and to be given consideration must be received at least ten working days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids. The selected contractor shall furnish a performance bond and a payment bond in amount at least equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price asstipulated in Section 00700 GENERAL CONDITIONS of these specifications. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities in bids and to reject any or all bids.
