Renovation of a mixed-use development in Largo, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a communication facility; and educational facility.
During the 2020-21 school year, Public Safety Radio Frequency Assessments were conducted by testingthe 800 MHz Radio Frequency (RF) signal metrics throughout 131 schools and ancillary facilities withinthe Pinellas County School District. The purpose of the assessments was to determine the areas of eachcampus that do not meet the Emergency Services RF signal requirements outlined in NFPA 72 & 1221 and Pinellas County Compliant Public Safety In Building Two-Way Radio Communications Enhancement System Requirements. In total, 74 sites require enhancement ranging from a specific location in a single building to campus wide. The Scope of Work for the awarded vendor(s) is to provide a turnkey service for design and installation of systems to enhance the radio frequencies to support public safety and first responders as outlined in NFPA 72 & 1221. Upon award, and annually thereafter, each firm shall submit a staffing model and fee matrix for negotiation. The initial phase of the project will include up to 5 sites with campus-wide solutions. Subsequent phases will extend up to 5 years. For each site, The Pinellas County School District will provide the following Summary Assessment Reports for review by the awarded firm(s): 1.Initial Assessment Testing Plan for 700/800 MHZ Public safety Communications 2.Results of the In-Building Signal Strength Test 3.Aerial View of Campus with Building Numbers and Boundary Markers
