The City of Alameda is soliciting proposals from qualified professional firms to compile and implement a comprehensive Americans with Disabilities Act Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan for City programs, facilities, parks, parking lots, streets, intersections and sidewalks. This Request for Proposals seeks to secure the most qualified consultant to perform field investigations within the City right-of-way and of City facilities, evaluate City policies and programs, and prepare an ADA Transition Plan in order to identify obstacles limiting accessibility, describe methods to improve accessibility, and specify a schedule for achieving ADA compliance. Please note that the Alameda City Council encourages all consultants and other businesses providing services to the City to hire Alameda residents, pursuant to City Resolution No. 12278. "The City of Alameda is a charter City and any contracts into which the City enters may be subject to the provisions of its charter, which may supersede certain provisions of the Public Contract Code and other provisions of state law." Contract Award (Anticipated) March 15, 2022 Proposers are solely responsible for determining if any addenda have been issued.
