Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Montrose, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; for the construction of a service station / car wash facility; service station / car wash facility; and water / sewer project.
General Construction (0.1) MPMS # 117100 FM 7216 The Work of this Project consists of, but is not necessarily limited to, the following. Detailed requirements of the Work are described in the pertinent specification Sections and/or shown on the Drawings. Remove existing pavement, remove or relocate other site amenities, and prepare site for new vehicle wash building as indicated on Contract Drawings. Cut, remove, and patch asphalt paving at all areas of underground site utility work (propane gas, water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and electrical). Coordinate with Electrical Construction Contract (.4) and Propane Supplier. Provide erosion and sedimentation controls. Provide stripping, stockpiling, and restoration of topsoil, with seeding and mulch, for natural turf areas disturbed by underground utility trenching and other work activities. Site Liquefied-Petroleum (L-P)/Propane Service: a. Coordinate schedule, layout, and installation with L-P Supplier (AmeriGas). b. Exclude L-P Supplier's costs and fees from bid. Administer PennDOT's payment of L-P Supplier's costs and fees as indicated in Paragraph "Responsibility for Utility Fees," later in this specification Section 01 01 00. c. Furnish and install concrete pad for new above-ground L-P tank. d. Provide trenching work (excavation, bedding, backfill, compaction, and related soil testing) for installation of L-P supply line from connection at tanks to propane regulator set at new wash building. e. Coordinate building regulator set location and point of connection to new wash building propane gas piping system with Plumbing Contractor (.3). f. L-P supplier will provide the following for the site L-P/propane service: 1) Furnish and install new L-P tank, regulator at tank, vaporizer, valves, manifold piping between tanks, supply pipeline to wash building, regulator at building, and other related outside equipment, devices, and accessories. 2) Final connection to building propane system. 3) Fill the new tank and purge air from the system. 4) Testing of system, including propane appliances inside pump room. WO#51 FM-7216 L&I Submittal Susquehanna County Vehicle Wash Building 10/06/2021 Summary of Work 01 01 00 - 2. Site Water Service: a. Furnish and install well pump in existing well bore hole. Provide well pump control panel with variable-frequency drive unit and related controls for well pump system. b. Furnish and install water service line, and provide related trenching work, from well to point of connection with building water line within 5-feet of the new wash building. c. Coordinate work with Plumbing Construction Contract (.3), Electrical Construction Contract (.4), and Authorities Having Jurisdiction. Site Sanitary Service: a. Furnish and install sanitary site utilities and provide related trenching work from point of connection with new building sanitary line, within 5-feet of the new wash building line, to indicated point of connection with existing public sanitary line in roadway. Connect to existing street force main. 1) Exclude from bid the Bridgewater Municipal Authority's fees for inspection and sanitary connection. Administer PennDOT's payment of these fees as indicated in Paragraph "Responsibility for Utility Fees," later in this specification Section 01 01 00. b. Coordinate work with Plumbing Construction Contract (.3), Electrical Construction Contract (.4), and Bridgewater Municipal Authority. Coordinate work in roadway with highway authorities having jurisdiction and provide necessary warnings, barriers, and other controls. c. Furnish and install underground oil-water separator, control panel, level controls, concrete anchor blocks, and concrete slab-on-grade. Provide vent piping lines from oil-water separator to building exterior wall and terminate above finish grade as noted on Drawings. 2) Coordinate with Electrical Construction Contractor (.4) for alarm, monitor, and sensor connections. d. Furnish and install grinder pump station, concrete anchor block, controls, control panel, and force main to connection in street. Coordinate with Electrical Construction Contractor (.4) for power and control connections. Site Stormwater System: a. Remove or abandon portions of site stormwater utility lines and structures as indicated on Contract Drawings. Furnish and install new stormwater site utility lines and structures between indicated points of connection to existing stormwater lines. Provide related trenching work. Remove and modify existing chain-link fencing, and construct new chain-link fencing and gate, as indicated on Contract Drawings. Construct all other site improvements in accordance with Contract Drawings and Project Manual that are not indicated as the work of other contractors, including new asphalt paving and new turf areas. Construct new Vehicle Wash Building in accordance with Contract Drawings and Project Manual. Coordinate work with the other Construction Contracts (.2, .3 and .4). New building to include but not be limited to: a. One (1) Vehicle Wash Bay with heated, reinforced concrete floor slabs and approach slabs. b. One (1) Pump Room. Transition areas of new work to areas of existing grade, allowing for proper drainage and run-off for the project located in Susquehanna County.
