Demolition and site work for a residential development in Kewanee, Illinois. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development; and for site work for a residential development.

Bidders must comply with the City of Kewanee Code of Ordinances Sections 150.075 - 150.081, Demoli-tion of Buildings, which is available at City Hall. Only clean debris permitted by the Illinois Envir-onmental Protection Act section 3.160.b may be used as fill material. This means only uncontam-inated broken concrete without protruding met-al bars, bricks, rock, stone or soil generated from construction or demolition activities. The work consists of demolishing the existing building on the site and disposing of the demolition debris in a legal manner. Provide a level surface upon completion. Perform other related work as in-dicated in the scope of work. EXCEPTION: Should a Contractor win a bid on multiple properties with the same bid opening date, the Contractor shall receive 15 additional days per winning property bid. Should the Contractor fail to perform all work by the expiration of this deadline, the Con-tractor acknowledges that they may be deemed an "irresponsible bidder" for the purpose of fu-ture bidding opportunities and potentially dis-qualified from bidding as such. Bids must be submitted, on the Proposal Forms provided, to the City Clerk, City Hall, 401 E. Third Street, Kewanee, IL, 61443-2365 in sealed envel-opes marked "DEMOLITION BID 121 S. Jackson St.". A bid bond or certified check for an amount equal to 10% of the total value of the bid must accompany said bid. Once the City enters into an agreement with a bidder the bid bond of unsuccessful bidders will be returned. The City of Kewanee reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities. It is understood and agreed that the award will be made to the lowest responsible bidder who submits the proposal that provides the City, in its opinion, the best value for the lump sum cost proposed.
