This project will be considered a Design-Build project where the awarded Design-Build team will be responsible to perform an assessment on the existing condition of the building, complete fully constructible stamped set of design documents, and provide all construction services needed to implement the entire design. The design and construction should encompass all areas of work indicated within the contract documents and within the overall contract amount. The deadline to submit requests for clarification of the requirements of this RFP, Part 1 is December 15, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. (HST). The Design-Build Project budget is anticipated to be approximately $5,000,000. It is expected that the Design-Builder will maximize the entire budget to propose a complete, fully functional project that will exceed the minimum project program requirements. The University of Hawaii at Manoa (UHM) Buildings Grounds and Management (BGM) department is responsible for janitorial, maintenance, and landscaping services for the University's buildings and grounds. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Qualifications Proposals if such action is in the public interest Anticipated on site construction from May 15, 2023 to December 1, 2023. Performance and payment bonds shall be required when the price of the Contract is $25,000 or more and each shall be in an amount equal to one hundred per cent (100%) of the amount of the Contract Price.
