The Work shall be completed under one Contract and consists of all labor, skill and materials required to properly construct the Project. The Project generally consists of the following primary components:
Removal of existing and replacement with new of 29 owner furnished six- or eight-inch pressure reducing valves (PRVs) and associated piping, valves, and appurtenances within below grade concrete vaults.
Removal and replacement of one owner furnished 16-inch altitude valve and associated piping and appurtenances within a below grade concrete vault.
And miscellaneous vault repairs and improvements.
Bid will be received on a combination lump sum and unit price basis.
the Bidder as principal and by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Colorado, This is to serve as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter a Contract within 15 days of Notice of Award in accordance with the terms of the principal's Bond and a contractor's Bond as required by law and the regulations and determinations of the governing board for the performances of such Work. Only Bids that are accompanied by such a Bond will be considered. The Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible and eligible Bidder. Such a Bidder shall possess the skill, ability, and integrity necessary for the faithful performance of the work and must provide references showing experience performing similar work. Complete instructions for filing Bids are include in the Instructions to Bidders. All questions concerning this project shall be submitted in writing by email to David Vidikan at AE2S at david.vidikan@ae2s.com The Work shall be substantially completed within 154 calendar days and shall be completed and ready for final payment within 168 calendars days of Notice-to-Proceed. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, waive any informalities in the Bids received, and further reserves the right to award the Contract in the best interest of the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to hold the three (3) lowest Bids for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days after the date of Bid opening.
