The Eugene Water & Electric Board (EWEB) requests bids for the installation of new water service pipelines between new water meter installations and existing houses. Bidders shall meet Minimum Contractor and Specialty Subcontractor Qualifications as defined in the bid packages. To pay to the Owner as liquidated damages the amount of $400 per calendar day for each calendar day by which actual completion time exceeds the contract completion time set forth above. GENERAL The work covered under this contract will be performed on Palomino Drive between Harlow road and Sorrel Way and adjacent areas in Eugene, OR. DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT The work to be performed under this contract includes but is not limited to: Install new water service pipelines between new water meter installations and existing houses. There are 53 houses that require new or modified water service lines Disconnect, plug, and abandon existing water services in back yards of homes. Cap water services in crawlspaces where feasible to minimize pipe with stagnant water. Obtain plumbing and other necessary permits required by the city of Eugene. Install customer hand valves, pressure relief valves and other required plumbing modifications as required by code. Coordinate work with property owners and tenants (as applicable) to minimize disruptions. Perform landscaping, irrigation, hardscape repair, structural repairs and any other work necessary to restore to preconstruction conditions or better. Completing flushing and leak testing of the new pipeline
