The Daniel Boone Regional Library ("DBRL") will accept bids, quotations or proposals ("Bids" or "Responses"), subject to the Instructions and General Conditions listed in the document linked below and any Special Conditions set forth therein, for furnishing DBRL with locker systems. Daniel Boone Regional Library intends to replace our current locker systems in two communities where patrons can pick up library materials that they have previously reserved. Library staff will deliver materials to the site and place reserved materials in randomly assigned lockers. Following notification of hold availability, the patron uses their library card number to pick up their materials. One location is within a branch library and the other is in a private business. Any questions regarding this RFP must be directed to Michael Mullett, via email at mmullett@dbrl.org. Any interpretations, corrections, or changes to this RFP, which are provided to prospective Bidders by written addendum, will be binding upon DBRL. Any other interpretations, corrections or changes, or responses to questions regarding this RFP will not be binding upon DBRL and Bidders should not rely on same. All requests for interpretation must be received no later than 2:00 p.m CDT three working days (December 19, 2021) before the due date for receipt of Proposals. Interpretations by the Library will be issued to Vendors in the form of an addendum to the RFP and will be available on the website no later than 2:00 p.m. two working days (December 20, 2021) prior to the date of submission deadline. All such addenda shall become part of the RFP and each Vendor shall be bound by such addenda whether or not the addenda have been received by the Vendor. Following notification of hold availability, the patron uses the touch screen monitor to scan their library card or enter their library card number allowing them to check out their materials. Lockers must be modular, and expandable for future growth. Approximately forty (40) lockers per site. Footprint of the forty locker configuration should be approximately 77 sq. ft. per site. Interior free-standing locker system designed to provide patron self-service pickup of reserved materials. Preferred size of each locker box should be a minimum of 4 high x 12 wide x 15 deep, or comparable proposed alternative. Touch screen monitor for patron/staff interface. Locker software must be able to integrate with our current integrated library system (ILS) software (Sirsi) and be capable of consolidating holds by patron ID number. Internal receipt printer. Administrative software that allows remote management of lockers.
