Marion County Utilities is seeking a qualified Contractor to construct a new 12 Upper Floridan public supply well, hydropneumatic tank, and yard piping at the Spruce Creek Preserve Water Treatment Plant (WTP). Minority-Owned, Woman-Owned, and Small Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond to this solicitation. Marion County believes that hiring done through this contract should, to the maximum extent, be offered to citizens within its boundaries that are unemployed or seeking work for the first time. To that extent, the firm awarded business under this contract will be contacted by the Workforce Connection, our regional workforce development board, to discuss hiring through its staff and services. Your participation with Workforce Connection is not required as a condition of award, but rather an opportunity for greater support for the community and your firm in hiring assistance.
