As of September, 2022, an award and timeline for construction have yet to be announced. In May of 2022, the USCG needed new funding before they award anything further. All Solicits said they were waiting on Funding, and would wait 120 to 180 days from the time of proposal until they award. Provide all supervision, materials, tools, labor, and equipment required to accomplish the task. Work includes, but is not limited to: Renovation of three bathrooms (heads), six berthing rooms, and two laundry rooms located on the first floor of Mace Hall, Building 130. South wing bathroom (Room 103) shall be modified to provide one uni-sex ADA compliant head with a roll-in shower and one bathing room for two occupants. Room 105 shall be converted into an ADA compliant laundry room. North wing's bathroom (room 130) shall be modified to provide two uni-sex, single use bathrooms (one ADA compliant, one standard) with a shared trough sink at the entrance to the bathrooms. Central "gang" style bathroom shall be modified to provide two bathrooms, each with three (3) showers, three (3) toilets, three (3) sinks, and a counter. Showers in these bathrooms include a dry changing area immediately adjacent to them. Six berthing rooms shall be modified to provide two berthing (sleeping) spaces, and a lounge with a kitchenette. Modifications and/or updates to the existing fire alarm system to support the new design are included in the scope of work. There are two option items: Replacement of exterior windows in the work area and electrostatic windows for the interior windows. All accessories as well as finishes required to complete the SOW are included within this specification, unless notes as "Government Furnished". Design and Engineering services including Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Plumbing and Electrical shall be design build. Lead and Asbestos are present in these areas and remediation is required. Refer to Asbestos and Lead report provided within this specification, and drawings for further information.
