Site work, paving, new construction and renovation of a mixed-use development in Horseheads, New York. Working plans call for the construction of a stadium; educational facility; for the renovation of a educational facility; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and playground / park / athletic field.

Voters overwhelmingly approved the first project of the plan in October 2017. That project has resulted in major improvements at the High School and Middle/Intermediate complex, with some improvements at the elementary schools. This second of three projects would continue the build, focusing on our elementary schools, adding classrooms, renovating cafeterias and gyms, and improving the environment for our elementary students. There would also be additional work at the High School, including the addition of locker rooms, physical therapy spaces, and music storage at the new stadium, and gym/locker room improvements, roofing, and parking lot redesign at the Middle/Intermediate schools. This project would also enable the district to regulate the temperatures in our classrooms/buildings through the continued installation/upgrade of heating/ventilating and cooling systems. Nearly all stores, businesses, and government buildings provide temperature controlled spaces, with heat or air conditioning as the weather determines. We believe our schools should too, so that our students can be in an environment that is conducive to learning. The upgraded mechanical systems of this project would address both heating and cooling in our schools.
