CHARLESTON WATER SYSTEM CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA Pump Station 77, 90, RT-1, and J Upgrades REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS (RFQ) The Commissioners of Public Works of the City of Charleston, South Carolina, is requesting interested Contractors to complete an Application for Prequalification of Bidders for providing all labor, equipment, and materials necessary for construction of the Pump Station 77, 90, RT-1, and J Upgrades in the West Ashley and Johns Island area of the City of Charleston, South Carolina. Contractors previously prequalified for this project do not need to resubmit. The Work to be performed consists of upgrading four (4) wastewater pumping stations (PS) including: PS 77 with Bypass pump piping, valves, pipe supports, electrical improvements; PS 90 with four (4) new 115 Hp dry pit submersible pumps, piping, valves, controls, electrical improvements, 500 kW generator (OWNER furnished), and replacement of diesel fuel lines; PS RT-1 with two (2) new 200 Hp dry pit submersible pumps, piping, valves, controls, and 750 kW natural gas generator (OWNER furnished); and PS J with the replacement of two (2) pump impellers on existing submersible pumps. The overall project will be bid under two separate contracts. The first contract will be for the PS 77, PS RT-1, and PS J upgrades. The second contract will be for the PS 90 upgrades. These contracts will be bid at separate times. Prequalified Contractors will have the option to bid on one or both contracts.
