Renovation of a water / sewer project in Hardwood Lands, Nova Scotia. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Construction of a new Biosolids processing facility (BPF). Halifax Water is in the process of developing a program to procure services, equipment, and material for the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of a new BPF capable of handling and processing all residual solids from the above facilities up to the year 2046. The new facility will potentially be located at 330 Aerotech Drive, adjacent to the existing BPF. TIMELINE: A Request for qualifications to pre-qualify respondents as part of the utility's biosolids management strategy closed at the owner on February 25, 2022. The prequalified proponents included Anaergia Inc., Lystek International and Maple Reinders Group Ltd. The second stage of the procurement process is ongoing. Further update may be available late 2025/2026, pending owner's final plans. *Value listed may reflect the capital cost of this project.
