Renovation of an educational facility in Fairbanks, Alaska. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Construction Range: $100,000 - $500,000. Building No.: FS303 The University of Alaska is seeking bids for the Bunnell Elevator Modernization project. The Work consists of demolishing the existing elevator, hydraulic jack, controller, tank, and pump assembly, and installing a new machine-roomless (MRL) elevator with a digital controller, traveling cable, car, and finishes. Work also consists of adding a roof bump out to accommodate machinery at the top of the hoistway, installing a new elevator pit sump pump, and relocating fire alarm devices in the hoistway. Bid security is required to be submitted with each bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. State law requires a bid to be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible "Alaska Bidder" after bidder's preferences and Alaska Products Preferences have been applied. Further instructions are contained within the Instructions to Bidders. The University of Alaska reserves the right to reject any or all bids, offers, or parts thereof it deems necessary, to waive any informality in the bid or offer received, and to award in the best interest of the University.
