Bypass Valve Installation at Wastewater Treatment Plant The Village of Mingo Junction is seeking bids for the installation of new valves and fittings at the wastewater treatment plant located on Erie Street. All Bidders must attend the Prebid Meeting in order to familiarize themselves with the existing conditions at the project site. The Project includes the following Work: The work will involve the installation of new ball valves and associated fittings at two locations withing the existing wastewater treatment plant. In the plant yard, the existing 14" gravity lines from the equalization tank and former grit removal building will be excavated. The lines will be connected together and two new 14-inch ball valve assemblies will be inserted into the system. Inside the basement of the Control Building, the existing 10-inch and 12-inch force mains will be connected together and two new 10-inch ball valves will be installed. A section of deteriorated 10" ductile iron pipe will also be replaced. This will involve replacement inside the building and through the foundation wall to the exterior of the building. The Contractor shall provide all necessary fittings, couplings, hanging brackets, etc.
