Kalamazoo Ave & The Kalamazoo County Sheriffs Office (KCSO), located at 1500 Lamont Ave. These buildings are already partially wired; however, the existing structured cabling needs to be updated to current ethernet standards. The County is requesting that all contractors submit the following: Lump Sum pricing Hourly rate per man hour Material % above cost All contractors will need to follow specific building protocols, PPE requirements, the KCSO building will require contractors to be fingerprinted and background checked. The County will require a mandatory walkthrough to discuss detailed specifics. The county would like to start this work immediately, with a goal completion date of February 28, 2022. Contractors should submit a planned schedule for an estimation of when the work could be completed by. a) This will include physically running Cat 6 shielded twisted pair ethernet cable from the MDF to the drop points. b) All wiring must follow the State of Michigan LAN wiring standards, including running plenum rated cable for any areas where plenum is required. c) At the KCSO, all wiring will need to follow concealed rules for a jail. Cabling will need to be hidden or run-in conduit not accessible, etc. d) Terminating the cable at newly installed patch Panduit panels at the MDF of each floor. There are specifications for all cabling standards in the building requirements. The contractor is responsible for installing the patch panels. e) Dropping and finishing the cable run in each office or drop location with the preferred Panduit blue jack and faceplate. The contractor is responsible for materials. f) Matching labeling at both the drop location and patch panel location. g) Testing each cable to certify end to end continuity and full functionality from the drop to back to the patch panel. h) Any clean-up, trash removal daily as necessary. i) Must remove all tools in working areas if left un-attended while working. j) N-95 masks will be always required in the KCSO buildings and must be provided by the contractor k) Both sites have public restrooms.
