As of 02/07/2022 They are looking to rebid this sometime after April 1st, 2022 Broome DDSOO is seeking a vendor to remove and replace existing windows with egress windows that are compliant with the current building code. All work shall be performed per the below scope of work. SCOPE OF WORK: Remove six windows located one in each bedroom and one in the living room off from the garage. Provide and install egress windows that have the following minimum openings. 7 sq ft minimum net clear openable area 20-inch minimum net clear width opening 24-inch minimum net clear height opening 44-inch maximum sill height above finished floor. Two of the windows will require several courses of brick to be removed to comply with the 44-inch maximum sill height requirement. Also, one of the windows will be shortened and require contractor to fill in the void with brick. Other alterations to the existing openings may be required to meet code requirements for egress. Any and all altered openings will be finished to match the existing house. All window trim that is damaged during install will be replaced. Windows will be installed per manufacturer's instructions. Job shall not be considered complete until all window functions and the installations have been checked by a maintenance supervisor from Broome DDSO. Contractor must attend a mandatory site visit to bid on this project. Contractor will be responsible for all window measurements. Contractor is responsible for removal and disposal of debris created during this project and for cleaning or repairing any part of the facility damaged during work. Contractor shall warrantee work for a period of one year from date of payment for job. Warrantee shall be for parts and labor. Work shall conform to all applicable codes, be done according to manufacturer's instructions, and follow industry best standards. Manufacturer and quality of window must be approved by owner before purchase. Acceptable windows shall include Viwinco Cambridge replacements and renewal by Anderson.
