As of 1/4/2022, per the owner this project has been awarded to Venclar, Inc. for $69,690. The scope of work includes: Removal of all items, garbage and debris from unit. Interior doors and frames, gypsum wallboard, flooring, painting, water heater re-configuration, plumbing fixtures, lighting, switches & receptacles, new electrical service entrance and panel, interior wiring, installation of A.C. baseboard heaters. Kitchen removal and replacement. Bids will be received for General Construction. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check, or bank cashier's check payable to the Clarion County Housing Authority in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount. Bids shall be addressed to the Clarion County Housing Authority, 8 West Main Street Clarion, Pennsylvania 16214. Envelopes containing bids shall be sealed and clearly marked "Sealed Bid for Penn Street Rehabilitation Project" and "Date and Time" for receipt of bids. The Clarion County Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities in bidding. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the opening without the consent of the Authority. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond. The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, national origin or age. In addition, the Contract will be under the requirements of Executive Order #11625 relative to new goals and timetables and Section III of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 and where applicable. The Clarion County Housing Authority solicits and encourages Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) participation. MBE's will be afforded full consideration of their responses and will not be subjected to discrimination. Bidders will be required to comply with the Authority's MBE Program Goal requirements where applicable.
