**As of February 4, 2022 the project has not been awarded yet.** SCOPE OF WORK: The work to be performed under this Contract generally consists of removal and reconstruction of approximately 0.7 miles of an existing roadway, new sidewalks, curb and gutter, street frontage improvements, landscape and irrigation improvements, retaining walls and associated structures, street lighting improvements, storm drainage infrastructure, and domestic water improvements, as shown on the Project Plans. The roadway will be removed and/or reconstructed to allow for roadway widening for approximately 7,100 tons of asphalt concrete, 400 tons of rubberized asphalt, 26,000 square feet of retaining wall face, thermoplastic striping, and related work as required by the Project Plans and Specifications. This project is subject to compliance, monitoring, and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. In accordance with the provisions of Division 2, Part 7, Chapter 1 of the California Labor Code, the California Department of Industrial Relations has established the general prevailing rates of per diem wages for each craft, classification, and type of work needed to execute contracts for public works and improvements. The City reserves the right to delete any bid item to the extent that the bid is qualified by specific limitation. An unbalanced bid shall be considered as grounds for rejecting the entire bid. The City further reserves the right to make award to the lowest responsible bidder as the interest of the City may require.
