ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS TO PERFORM SUBCONTRACTOR CONSTRUCTION SERVICES For the Centerville Middle School Transformation Phase 3 Increment 2 Building G Locker Room and Building G Interim Housing (Fremont Unified School District) Rodan Builders, Inc. is notifying Subcontractors of an upcoming bid for the Fremont Unified School District Centerville Phase 3 Increment 1, located at 37720 Fremont Blvd, Fremont CA 94536. The Project shall include but not be limited to the following: Renovation of Building G Locker Room and Interim Housing to support the renovation. DSA Approved bid documents will be available at Rodan Builders Building Connected public plan room https://app.buildingconnected.com/public/5430e7cf5cdc2e0300dd9ceb and also on the Builder's Exchange of Santa Clara County and the Bay Area Builder's Exchange. Any questions regarding this notice should be directed to gchen@rodanbuilders.com Bids are due on 12/21/21 @ 2PM. Bids will be received using Rodan's Building Connected, accessible through https://app.buildingconnected.com/public/5430e7cf5cdc2e0300dd9ceb. Each subcontractor is responsible to ensure that the bid is submitted to Building Connected, prior to the above time and date. Rodan Builders will award the subcontracts, if it awards at all, based on the "best value" criteria permitted under Education Code 17406 and authorized by the District's governing board. The last day for RFIs is 12/15/21 @ 5PM. Please send all questions to gchen@rodanbuilders.com a. They have any of the following symptoms that can indicate possible COVID-19 infection such as: i. Fever(=37.8 C/100 F) ii. Sore throat iii. Shortness of breath iv. Difficulty breathing v. Unexplained muscle aches vi. New onset cough vii. Loss of sense of smell or taste viii. Nasal congestion or runny nose (different from pre-existing allergies) b. They have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 14 days c. They do live with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19. d. In the past 14 days, they have been identified as a contact requiring self-monitoring for symptoms by a public health agency e. By signing into the bid walk, each person attests they are free of symptoms, have not been diagnosed nor live with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID 19, and are not self- monitoring for COVID 19 symptoms. 3. All participants need to wear a mask. 4. Social Distancing must be maintained at all times during the bid walk. Where there are small spaces, individuals will either enter individually or in small groups. Project Specific Prequalification Requirements: PLEASE NOTE SUBCONTRACTORS MUST ALSO PREQUALIFY FOR FREMONT UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT Public Contract Code 20111.6 requires the district to do so for certain projects. This applies to prime contractors and MEP sub-contractors with the following licenses: General Contractors (A and B), Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing subcontractors (C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43, and C-46) The District must receive complete applications at least ten (10) business days prior to the scheduled bid opening on any advertised project in order for the candidate to qualify for a project in excess of $1,000,000 and partially funded by the State. Pre-qualification approval will remain valid for one (1) calendar year from the date of notice of qualification except as noted in the pre-qualification documents. This project is subject to the Fremont Unified School District's Project Stabilization Agreement (PSA), an agreement between the school district and the local unions. Both union and non-union firms are welcome to bid and work on the project, but the agreement requires some cooperation with the local unions. FUSD's PSA agreement can be found This project is a public works project. All workers must be paid prevailing wages; all contractors must submit certified payroll reports online to the California Department of Industrial Relations and send copies to the District; and all contractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. Section 17076.11 of the Education Code requires school districts using funds allocated pursuant to the State of California School Facility Program for the construction and/or modernization of school building(s) to have a participation goal for disabled veteran business enterprises ("DVBE") of at least three percent (3%) per year of the overall dollar amount expended on projects that receive state funding or demonstrate its good faith effort to solicit DVBE participation in this Contract.
