Figure 1 below shows the bid tabs added to the schedule The work to be performed under this contract consists of providing all skill, labor, material, and equipment for the construction of a new sidewalk on Old Cypress Mill Road in Brunswick, GA. The project will begin at Old Jesup Road intersection and to Community Road. Work shall include, but not be limited to, traffic control, erosion and sedimentation control measures, ditch regrading, possible tree removal, reinforced pipe and associated storm inlet installation, road cut/pipe install/patch on Old Cypress Mill Road, grading, concrete flatwork, and grassing and stabilization. This is an invitation to submit a bid to the Glynn County Board of Commissioners for the construction of a new sidewalk on Old Cypress Mill Road in Brunswick, GA. Instructions for preparation and submission of a bid-proposal are contained in this packet. Bids must be typed or printed in ink. Bids submitted for this invitation must include the "Bidders Response Schedule" and be returned in a sealed envelope or container marked, "Sealed Bid" with the applicable "Bid Number" on the outside. Bids may not be considered unless so received. Any questions and /or misunderstandings that may arise from this invitation shall be submitted, in writing and forwarded, to the Procurement Officer, Jason Hagen at jhagen@glynncounty-ga.gov no later than December 24, 2021.All Questions and Answers submitted will be posted to the website no later than December 29, 2021. The Glynn County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to waive all technicalities, reject any or all bids, and make the award in the best interest of the County. Each Proposal must be accompanied by a bid bond for an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the amount bid. If for any reason whatsoever the Bidder withdraws from the competition after opening the bids,or if he refuses to execute the Contract, the Owner will proceed on the Bid Bond. The Surety of the Bid Bond, Performance Bond, and Payment Bond shall be a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Georgia, shall be listed in the Department of the Treasury Circular 570, and shall have an underwriting limitation in excess of 100% of the bid amount.The Bonds and Surety shall be subject to approval by the Attorney for the Owner. Contract time shall consist of ONE HUNDRED FIFTY( 150) consecutive calendar days for the completion of work, to be computed from the date of the Notice to Proceed. Intended Date for Contract Award February 3, 2022 WOODEN PRIVACY FENCE: The Wooden privacy fence shall be a Board-on-Board Privacy fence with a height of 6 ft. The fence shall be constructed of 4"x 4"x 8' ground contact pressure treated vertical posts on 8' centers and placed at a depth of 2 feet in concrete, The 3 Horizontal rails shall be constructed of pressure treated 2"x 4". The vertical pickets will be pressure treated 1"x 6"x 8 .
