**As of February 23,2022, this project has been awarded to Tucker Mechanical, with the awarded amount of $811,999.20.** The Work involves air diffuser upgrades to Sequencing Batch Reactors (SBR) No. 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6 at the Montville Water Pollution Control Facility. The Work includes the replacement of air diffusers assemblies, distributors and installation of waste sludge pump guide rails. Engineer's Estimate: $1.3M A. Work Included: Montville, CT Water Pollution Control Facility SBR Air Diffuser Upgrades Phase 2. The major proposed work under this Contract includes replacement of the 4" PVC air distributors and associated diffuser assemblies in Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) Nos. 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6: 1. Removal and replacement of 4" PVC air distributors and associated diffuser assemblies. Each air diffuser assembly includes an EPDM air diffuser membrane, membrane support disc, diffuser element holder, membrane retaining device and airflow control device. 2. Installation of pump guide rail system for existing submersible waste sludge pump in each SBR 3. Pumping of liquid contents from each SBR tank prior to performing the work. 4. Removal and Disposal of materials off site including: a. Items from above b. Grit, Debris, Sludge removed from the SBR tanks identified after draining the tank and covered under the Unit Price bid Item 5. Examine the existing site for the work of all trades which will influence the cost of the work under the bid. This work shall include removals, relocations and rearrangements which may interfere with, disturb or complicate the performance of the work under the bid involving systems, equipment and related service lines, which shall continue to be utilized as part of the finished project. The Contractor is responsible for all coordination in this regard. 2. Provide in the bid a sufficient amount to include all removals, relocations, rearrangements and reconnections herein specified, necessary or required to provide approved operation and coordination of the combined new and existing systems and equipment.
