The work is located in Bringhurst Woods Park near the intersection of Washington Street Extension and Carr Road. The site address is 5001 Washington Street Extension, Wilmington, DE 19809. The work under this contract includes all labor, tools, material and equipment necessary for the abandonment of existing sanitary sewer, rehabilitation ofpark trails, construction ofnew trails, and resurfacing of an existing bridge as depicted on the Contract Construction Plans.The project includes the abandonment of approximately 4050 LF of 21 " and 24" diameter VCP sanitary sewer pipe, abandonment of 15 existing manholes and replacement of 8 manhole frames and covers. Additionally, the project includes the restoration of existing trails as work is completed on the sewer, construction of new trails to access the sewer, the resurfacing of an existing bridge in Bringhurst Woods Park along with extensive tree and shrub plantings. Question date:25th January 2022 Bids shall be accompanied by a bidder's bond or certified check in an amount equal to 10% of the bid price, payable to New Castle County and conditioned to be forfeited to said County for failure to enter into a contract, if awarded. Awards, if any, will be made to the lowest responsible bidder. The County reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids and to waive minor irregularities. Bidders are required to submit all Proposal pages with their bid. The Proposal must be signed and sealed. A bid bond must be included with the Proposal. Any deviation from these instructions may result in the rejection of your bid. The successful Bidder will be required to give bond of a surety company, acceptable to the County, and licensed to do business in the State of Delaware, in the amount of the contract price.
